Overnight, the Moon in Cancer met Mars in Scorpio by trine. Shortly following, the Sun in Capricorn found Neptune in Pisces by sextile (4:38 AM). Then, Just before dawn (6:08 am) the Moon finds Jupiter in Scorpio by trine. All these aspects are rather relaxed. Moon to Mars in water can be mobile. But, it looks more like quiet but deep indulgences to me. Most of the sky is easy and flowing which would have, perhaps, allowed us to retreat to our caves and relax last night.
There is just one little issue. One that is not watery. One that is not flowy. One that is anything but relaxed which may unsettle what otherwise should have been a fairly peaceful night. Uranus in Aries stations direct at 7:23 AM.

It's just not uncommon for things to operate a little squirrely when Uranus stations. Particularly in the realm of air travel, advanced communications, electricity and the Internet. Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury. Sometimes his stations points can, in fact, feel a bit the same as a Mercury retrograde (on crack). Yes, issues with weather are likely as well. Particularly with Uranus we are usually looking at ice, high wind chill factors, snow and even a few wind gusts.
However, what is notable about this Uranus station point is all that I mentioned in the above paragraph. There is a lot of water. A lot of flow. Meaning there is also sensitivity and empathy. With two bodies in Scorpio, we may more easily pick up on the shaky energy of Uranus and become paranoid. The Uranus station could cause brain churn making it hard for us to relax. Therefore, we wake up frazzled and scattered. Uranus stations are also notorious for cramped necks, tweaked backs, sprains and what have you.
The most extreme end of this has something unsettling occurring when we're so relaxed in the flowing waters and just weren't expecting it. Once Uranus gets turned around, he does settle down fairly quickly. Just so happens, though, we are not entirely finished with Uranus today.
Shortly after Uranus stalls out to turn around, the Moon in Cancer opposes Pluto (8:44 AM). So much of this sounds like a severe thunderstorm to me. Which would be ridiculously odd at the genesis of January...in my neck of the woods anyway. But, sincerely, this is what it looks like. With the Moon in Cancer, it could equate to an internal storm complete with lightning flashing from your eyes. The other end of it is fear. Paranoia. The potential for manipulation, abuses of power or attempts to cling to something or someone that wants to leave.

Typically it doesn't really matter what else is going on in the sky, Uranus in play has a tendency to make folks nervous and reactive. Due our increased sensitivity, a lack of boundary could cause this to be worse. Plus, we run the risk of over-stimulation.
As the day moves on, the Cancer Moon remains active until she meets Uranus (still pretty jittery) by square and Chiron by trine just before 6 PM. From here, the Moon is Void until 2:23 AM.
One good way to embark on this day is to attempt to go to bed early on the 1st. Get plenty of rest. Then, get up early. Have coffee or tea but keep the portions small and focus on having an energy sustaining breakfast. The Uranus station can actually help you wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed following a night of solid rest. The energy sustaining and hearty breakfast appeases Moon/Pluto and provides us the fuel we need to embark upon this day which serves as a “back to the grind” for many following the holidays. Try to keep the intake of stimulants low. Take frequent breaks to walk around to disperse excess physical energy or for grounding. This is going to help prepare you for the lunar square to Uranus tonight. Then, when the Moon is Void, things will likely begin to ease up a bit allowing us to relax into our evening.

There is potential for things to go haywire today. But, you can prepare yourself mindfully, so, that if it does, you are prepared. If it doesn't...still no loss. Getting a good night's rest, eating a hearty breakfast, reducing stimulation and taking time from your day to ground never hurt anyone.

This morning the Moon resides in Leo making a brief inconjunct to Saturn in Capricorn at 5 AM. The big news of the day, however, is the sextile of Venus in Capricorn to Neptune in Pisces. I sincerely like this mixture under a Leo Moon. Leo can be very artistic and has the fire of creativity. Venus in Capricorn in sextile to Neptune in Pisces can take the fiery visions of our Leo Moon and bring them into manifestation. This is so great for play. Artistic ventures. Letting the heart relax a bit and allowing a little child-like wonder into our sphere. Plus, it's also pretty enchanting. With the added bonus of bringing a bit of romance that could, in fact, sweep you off your feet. Yeah...so I'm a Libra with a Pisces Moon...I love all the potential sap in that. Venus and Neptune in sextile alone doesn't really provide much on its own other than dreaminess. However, the Leo Moon is fire which could spark off action.

Otherwise, it looks a lot like a chance at a good, relaxed and rather upbeat day rich for indulging in any pleasure (especially if artistic and creative) that may tickle your inner child. The sextile between Venus and Neptune occurs at midday. The Moon does make minor aspect to both as the day go out. Therefore, it is this creative and playful energy that colors most of our day. I encourage you to enjoy that for tomorrow we shift from amicable relations with the Moon to some harsh confrontations with our planets in Scorpio.

The pressure begins early this morning with an ambiguous square from the Leo Moon to Mars in Scorpio. Leo needs to play. Scorpio broods and seethes. Leo needs things to be light and upbeat. Scorpio wants to stay in its cave and plot revenge. This is why it is hard for these two kids to get along. There used to be this Saturday morning cartoon when I was a kid that featured a big burly tough bulldog who was always followed around by a smaller yippy over-enthusiastic dog...like a high energy terrier or something. That's what I see when I look at this aspect. Little dog jumps around and continually asks, “What are we going to now, Spike? Huh? Huh? What are we going to now?” Spike the bulldog tolerates this but WOW you can tell he is one step away from just eating this smaller dog to make it shut up. Yet, the two often end up in scraps...not necessarily with one another but with other dogs or cats in the neighborhood. And, to be honest with you, its the yippy dog that is the instigator here. Pushing Butch to show off his prowess just so there is some kind of excitement for him to watch.
That being said, Leo Moon can be childish, overly exuberant and bit of a risk taker. Mars in Scorpio could take that dare and drive the whole affair into over-kill. Or, a needless risk a person takes could lead to rather poor end.

Of course, this all occurs pre-dawn. It could even manifest as nightmares as many in my part of the world will likely still be asleep. What the energy is best for is truly assessing your motivations and actions in an effort to ensure that these line up with the truth of you. Especially since the Moon in Leo will pass by the North Node right after her square with Mars.
At daybreak, the Moon squares off with Jupiter in Scorpio and we are at risk of blowing whatever we feel way out of proportion. Ensure you maintain proper perspective and are not making something a bigger deal than it needs to be.
Yea. The morning could be pretty crunchy. Our desires deepen and yearnings increase. But, if we can overcome this hump and pinpoint/focus in on a certain goal for the day we could literally be sailing by this afternoon. At 1:52 PM, the Moon in Leo leaves her interaction with the Scorpio planets and begins dancing with Mercury in Sagittarius by trine. This is uplifting, mobile and light. Plus, Mercury now waxes toward his 3rdtrine with Uranus (perfecting Jan. 6) which ensures that brain is quite active. The Moon finds Uranus by trine at 6:10 PM.

Assess the heavy burdens of this morning. Declare that you will deal with them. Set a few realistic goals for the same within this day. Then, as the fire energy kicks in, get moving. This energy is great for laughter, fun and trying new things. Above and beyond that, if there is an unsolvable problem in front of you the interaction between these bodies of Fire could provide the inspiration or innovation needed to find solutions. So, if the morning is heavy and cumbersome, don't count yourself out just yet. The sky opens and lightens up as the day moves forward. Stay determined and optimistic. Following the trine with Uranus, the Moon is Void until entering Virgo at 3:13 AM.

Friday, January 5, 2018

This morning, we start out on solid footing with our industrious Virgo Moon in trine to Saturn in Capricorn. Things click by on schedule within our typical routines most likely. However things do fog up around midday as the Moon finds Neptune by opposition. This can cause fatigue, confusion, emotionality or even bouts of illness. What it is great for is taking a nap. A little midday siesta if you will. Or, if you can.

If you cannot rest as this aspect waxes in, turning on music to help you into the flow may help. It's also a nice aspect to have if you need a bit of creativity in your fixing efforts. LOL..I have Venus in Virgo currently being transited by Neptune. What it tells me most is that I need to relax and maybe let my schedule be a little more flexible. But, there isn't much outward production here. And, if production occurs it is likely to be tedious. Virgo will want to be mindful of the details of any job she may be involved in. Yet Neptune may make those easy to miss causing frustration in the end.
Have a plan going into this day. But, keep it light and leave room for little bouts of relaxation and day dreaming around midday. Music and meditation can be quite soothing here.

Saturday, January 6, 2018

When my kids were little, I had several very workable routines to keep us on track. We were quite busy and quite scheduled with school and sporting events. Plus their social lives. My social life, my work, running my own business and attending college. We had to be scheduled. We had to have routine. Or we would have been lost in all that activity. Anyway, on Saturdays during this time, I always got up early. Had my coffee in quiet. Then, did an extensive clean of my house while my kids were sleeping. I enjoyed that they indulged in sleeping late on their weekends just for this fact. Then, when they would wake up the house was all clean and Mom was in a fairly settled mood. It worked well.
You know what? This Saturday works well for that too.

Early this morning, the Moon is trine the Sun in Capricorn. Virgo is stellar at prioritizing and creating task lists. Capricorn is the planner. I used to tease some Cappy relatives of mine. Chiding them with “I bet you have a plan for your five your plan.” Because, they do that. They lay things out in front of themselves in incremental steps just like they were building a staircase or climbing a ladder...imagine that. At any rate, the talents of Virgo and Capricorn mix well for setting up a sturdy plan with prioritized tasks that we can chunk through within this day.
Plus, the Moon goes on to sextile both Jupiter and Mars in Scorpio in our early morning hours. If you are literally cleaning your house (good thing to do under a waning Virgo Moon anyway) the Scorpio energy is going to push you toward a deep clean. You might find yourself pulling out the appliances to clean behind them as if you were doing the full spring clean thing. Either way, regardless of the task list you have written for yourself this morning, the aspects from the Virgo Moon to Mars and Jupiter will allow you to roll your sleeves up and really get some stuff accomplished. The only caution is getting too caught up in the details. Just do the thing. But, know you don't have to overdo the thing. If you have a big job that you need to tackle, today sincerely supports you in making progress.
The “roll your sleeves up and get busy in the nitty gritty” energy continues as the Moon finds Pluto by trine at midday. Though, by this point, we may want to stop and refuel our bodies. Bellies will likely growl as this aspect perfects around lunchtime.

Then, at 6:39 PM, Mercury officially meets Uranus by trine. We are ready to drop the cumbersome and head off to lighter affairs. This waxes in all day. So, it is entirely possible to have your hands busy in mundane tasks as your brain receives insight and inspiration. Spinning wild adventures that we can embark upon after our work is finished. Or, this could just be the sparkle on your floors after you've mopped them so thoroughly you are surprised you didn't take off the finish. There could also be weather events that occur here as well. Uranus loves ice. So that is a possibility. But, we could even see the opposite of that since this does occur in fire signs.
At 7:39 PM, Mars in Scorpio meets Jupiter by conjunction. This occurs on the Sabian Symbol for 17 Scorpio.
18 Scorpio: A winding road leads through glorious autumnal woods. The light which transfigures the soul after passions have faded away. Revelation of inner wealth. Radiant consummation.

The conjunction itself is not necessarily a bad thing especially if you have remained physically active during the early part of the day. This would have helped you ground, focus in on the task at hand and expend any excess Mars energy you may have otherwise accumulated due this waxing conjunction. But, with this powerhouse set up coming in while Mercury and Uranus are in play, we could actually end up OVER doing and run the risk of becoming clumsy or trying to do too much too quickly. Do you need me tell you that you should be aware of proper body mechanics when doing any kind of heavy lifting? Well, too late, I just did.
I'm reminding you of this because later tonight if we aren't careful we could end up with aching muscles or even a tweaked back or knee joint due to...guess what...over doing and trying to do too much too quickly. So, definitely do what you need to do. But, just be careful with that. As the Moon moves forward she squares Mercury at 9:51. She is officially Void here. But, she does light up a t-square with the waxing Mercury/Chiron square which perfects at 11:06 pm. My suggestion would be to keep your hands busy with mundane tasks in the early part of the day. Then, reserve the evening for free flitting around with friends or entertainment. Then, you can use Mars/Jupiter for mindful indulgences thus leading to a sense of satisfaction. With Moon square Mercury there is the potential for headaches or even argument. This is where the potential toward “over kill” may also bear affect upon the body. But, a nice long soak in an Epsom salt bath may help you relax after all this once the Moon is Void.
She remains Void until entering Libra at 7:15 AM.

Sunday, January 7, 2018

The Moon is in Libra at dawn on the East coast. She's not normally known as the “heavy” but there is a heaviness that creeps up on her toward the middle of the day when she meets Saturn in Capricorn by square. As much as our mutable Moons may be enjoying the transition of Saturn from Sagittarius to Capricorn, our Cardinal Moons are just getting started. This square says, “Yes, Libra, I know that this is Sunday and you want to laze around but we still have a little business to take care of.”
Really, though, as long as you do a few little things to foster a bit of a sense of accomplishment, this could pass fairly easily. It also calls us to grow up our emotional system in regard to how we relate to others. It enforces good boundary and may provide for mature relations. Or, it could be that Libra Moon wants company and finds herself alone.

Following the tension with this square, though, things do lighten up a bit and continue to do so in our week to come. Tomorrow, both the Sun and Venus will dance with Jupiter as Mars finds Pluto by sextile. The Moon will square her ruler as that day moves forward and we experience our Last Quarter Moon, as well. But, the energy is mostly generous, warm, lighter and provides EXCELLENT support for pulling out the bulldozer and scooping up any remaining residual sludge you might have to deal with.
Overall, today isn't horrible, just a bit subdued. It's a good to rest and maybe finish up a few little tasks. Adding a decorative touch to your surroundings and looking for things of beauty does appease our Libra Moon.
